Personality: Very prideful and intelligent, he can be a bit stubborn and headstrong to a fault, however, and has a very dominating personality. The only one he really answers to is Zaigou, and only because he respects him as a leader and friend due to his fighting prowess and skill. He is a fierce combatant, and can take on a good number of opponents at once, even prefers it. If it's not a challenge, he see's it as a waste of time and can't really enjoy himself. He loves to pass on these skills to his son Sasuke, who shows a similar fighting prowess and natural talent for it as well, and is undyingly loyal towards his mate Momoko, and would readily protect his mate and pups with his life if necessary, though that doesn't necessarily mean he'll lay down his life for every dog in the pack, only those he holds special. Despite that he can be fierce and brutal at times towards others, especially his enemies, he is very loving and fatherly towards his own kin and friends, and assuming you manage to gain his respect and trust, the most loyal dog you will ever come across.
Background and History: When Ryuu was first born in Russia his white coloration was less prominant and he looked mostly black white touches of gray. Both of his parent's were Siberian Husky's though it is suspected there is also some wolf-blood in him on his mother's side(since many husky/malamute breeds are part wolf). Because of his coloration he was named Chernyy Volk or "Black Wolf" in Russian though his white markings became more apparent as he grew older and his fur grew out, and was trained to be a sled dog for the transportation of goods through terrain that would otherwise be hazardous to man-made transportation. Out of all of his siblings, Chernyy was the most dominant and found himself the lead of any team that he was assigned to mush. If he wasn't respected as leader or made it by his owners, he'd take it by establishing himself the toughest dog through fighting and defeating the other dogs and taking the lead within a matter of days. One of his assignments as a sled dog was to help transport goods on the island of Hokkaido, taking him across sea's from his homeland and ending up having to pull supplies along with a native dog, Zaigou. Both were headstrong and held an attitude of leadership, which caused them to clash. Partway through their journey the two ended up fighting, Chernyy having full confidence that he would win both from experience and because he was larger than Zaigou. Much to his surprise, Zaigou actually managed to beat him, marking the first time that Chernyy had ever been beaten by another dog in a fight, which is where he earned the two scars on his nose from. Despite his loss, Chernyy had gained a respect for Zaigou and soon their enemy relationship became one of friendship over the following weeks traveling back to Zaigou's village. Once they actually arrived and the dogs were let to rest and recuperate, Chernyy was introduced to the dogs of the village that had stayed behind and as such, met Momoko, the female tasked with guarding the village's shrine for the god's, and fell in love. When his owner became aware, the man left him to stay in Zaigou's village. The villager's often simply referred to him as "Kuro" for his dark fur, rather than his Russian name. In the following months, not long after his first litter and Sasuke were born, a bear attacked the village. He helped Zaigou and the other dogs fend it off, he and his leader doing the most damage and facing it more courageously than the other dogs. Afterwards, the villager's spoke that he was a strong and courageous fighter, showing great valor and fought like a great beast, which in turn earned him the name "Daikuroryuu" or "Great Black Dragon" to honor and recognize his strength and fearlessness, which in turn also earned him the cloth hanging from his harness marked with the Kanji for "2" as he is second in command of Zaigou's pack.
